The City of Toronto has launched this year’s Music Compass to celebrate Toronto’s local music culture! Participating neighbourhoods are featuring QR codes in front of businesses to create a self guided tour of music hotspots.
Roncesvalles is featured alongside neighbourhoods The Junction and Parkdale to guide locals and visitors through the eclectic and exciting West End music scene.
Three businesses on Roncesvalles Avenue have been featured:
- She Said Boom!: A local spot for vinyl records and CDs, as well as books, that allows visitors to explore music, literature and culture.
- The Local Pub: A longstanding pub hosting nightly live music while serving home-cooked meals and a selection of beer.
- Vinegar Syndrome: An independent film restoration and distribution company features a catalogue primarily set in the 1960s and 1980s.
Music Compass connects users to local music history and businesses, while showcasing upcoming events across the city. Be sure to take a stroll and check out Roncy’s featured businesses to see everything they have to offer!
