Please join us for the 6th annual Orange Shirt Day walk, organized by the Friends of the Dundas Roncesvalles Peace Garden, in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30th.

Everyone is welcome to come and gather at the Dundas Roncesvalles Peace Garden, located at 2201 Dundas Street West, starting at 3:30pm.

Danielle Migwans, Knowledge Keeper and Community Advocate from M’Chigeeng First Nation, hand drums and teaches us all an Indigenous song for the Walk. At 4:00pm, Robin Makri (Jacko), member of Wilkwemkoong First Nation, founder of Mashkawizii Medicinals, shares teachings on Indigenous healing plants as reclaiming culture.

At 4:20, we will walk as a group down Roncesvalles Ave, ending at ‘The Original Fire’ mural on Garden Ave. There, refreshments, music, and demonstration of our new pollinator garden will take place.
