2026 is a municipal election year in Toronto.  As an extension of the City, BIAs follow the same electoral cycle as the City of Toronto which means that it is a Business Improvement Area Board election year.

At the upcoming RVBIA AGM scheduled for November, Roncesvalles Village BIA (RVBIA) members will vote to confirm nominees to fulfill roles for the 2027-2030 Board of Management term.  The current board will continue to serve until the end of this calendar year, after which time the board dissolves as a natural part of this process. The new board will take up their term beginning January 2027.

Interested in volunteering to serve on the RVBIA Board of Management?   Please follow this link for information on requirements to submit your application to be considered for a seat on the Board.  Quick reference, members who wish to submit themselves for nomination are required to attend a minimum of 2 board meetings in advance of submitting their nomination form.

The dates of the remaining board meetings up until the AGM are:

• August 26th 12pm-2pm
• September 23rd 12pm-2pm
• October 28th 12pm-2pm

Board members must also comply with:
1. Human Rights and Anti-Harassment Discrimination (HRAP) – City of Toronto
2. BIA Board Code of Conduct as it relates to Chapter 19
