On September 27th join Friends of the Dundas Roncesvalles Peace Garden in celebration of the garden’s 10 year anniversary!

This very special project was the first of its kind between an Indigenous group, a Business Improvement Area and a Municipality.

This special coordinated initiative, between the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Roncesvalles Village BIA and the City of Toronto transformed a concrete island into a beautiful green space that now not only hosts trees and other pollinator plants of all kinds but is a place to sit and it also has become a community meeting place for events like the Orange Shirt walk.

Opened in June of 2016, the Dundas Roncesvalles Peace Garden is a proud recipient of an International Downtown Association (IDA) Award of Excellence 2018 Winner & Toronto Association of Business Improvement Areas (TABIA) Award in 2016.

Please join us to celebrate both the establishment of this garden, and to recognize the decade long efforts of the volunteers, lead by Abby Bushby and the Friends of the Dundas Roncesvalles Peace Garden as guardians and carers of this special space.
