The board of the Roncesvalles Village Business Improvement Area has unanimously voted on restoring the name of the fall event to the Roncesvalles Polish Festival.

The Roncesvalles Village BIA Board appreciates both the constructive feedback and support received. We regret that the festival’s intentions were misrepresented, and that the BIA missed the broader impact that it would have on the community.

The RVBIA Board is appreciative of the commitment from Etobicoke MPP Kinga Surma to help raise $50,000 to ensure the festival can run.

“I, along with the festival committee and the Roncesvalles Village board, look forward to working with the Polish community and festival sponsors in making this festival the best yet”. Andrew Chomentowski, Chair Roncesvalles Polish Festival

We wish to acknowledge all of the work done to build the festival to the success that it has been over the last 15 years as well as the dedication of the entire team working to bring it back after a 2 year gap due to COVID-19. The vision of this year’s fall festival is one of unity and inclusion and we will work to ensure this vision is realized.

Now entering its fifteenth year, the Roncesvalles Polish Festival is funded and managed by the Roncesvalles Village BIA; made up of more than 270 members in Toronto’s West End, serving our community of more than 16 thousand residents for over 35 years.
