AIRC Micro Grants:
The RVBIA Accessibility & Inclusion Resource Committee (AIRC) offers micro grants which are available specifically to support activations on Roncesvalles which contribute to our commitment towards amplifying and showcasing marginalized voices within our community.
To get an idea of the types of events that qualify, in the past, the RVBIA has awarded micro grants to the following events:
Family Fun Pride Party
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation Orange Shirt Walk
Observing the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation with Kristie Lane Sinclair
In tandem with the Streetscape Committee, AIRC also provides an annual micro grant to the Roncesvalles Peace Garden.
The maximum funding request of these micro grants $1500 per initiative. For larger funding requests please note those will be reviewed upon special requests and likely involve match funding if they are approved. Generally speaking, requests that exceed the above limit should be requested in the previous calendar year to accommodate the RVBIA’s annual budget schedule.
Applications must be received a minimum of 6 weeks/45 days prior to the date of the event and include a detailed outline of their funding request. Incomplete requests may be disqualified.
