Tony Cauch, chair of the Roncesvalles Village BIA, is a very active member of our community. One of his passions is our hospital, St. Joseph’s Health Centre. Every year, Tony participates in the Lori’s Legacy Walkathon, which raises money in support of cancer care at St. Joe’s. This year the Walkathon is on Saturday May 10th.
The Walkathon raises approximately $50, 000 annually. The Lori’s Legacy fund has raised nearly $1 million, and there are now 26 “Lori’s Rooms” at St. Joe’s, each designed to meet the special needs of cancer patients, as well as a Chemotherapy Clinic which opened in 2002.
To participate in the walkathon, please visit www.lorislegacy.org. If you wish to sponsor Tony, please visit https://www.foundation.stjoe.on.ca/Home.aspx?PageID=208 and fill in the form. Tony is walking under the name “Stompin’ Tony Cauch”.
One Comment on “RVBIA Chair to Participate in Lori’s Legacy Walkathon”
Dear Neighbours,
Well, another walkathon has come and gone.
The name has changed, from Lori’s Room to Lori’s Legacy, but the aims and objectives remain the same.
Rumour has it (…you read it here first…) that we raised over $60000 this year!
Thank you, so much, for your support.
I am so grateful to live AND work in this great village (get on with it, Tony!-ed)… well,er, thanks again.
Regards,
Tony Cauch
