In recognition of our responsibility to actively foster inclusion and diversity, we have begun forming a Social Justice and Anti-Black Racism Committee. We are committed to working together to establish and implement changes that will make a meaningful impact in our community. Systemic racism exists within our society and our community is not exempt.
We hope to create a committee of 8-12 folks from all backgrounds with lived experience, interests and/or expertise in spaces of anti-racism and social justice. Additionally, we hope to partner with community advisors from local Indigenous First Nations and the City of Toronto’s Confronting Anti-Black Racism Unit, among other advisors.
We hope to convene our first meeting (virtual) the second week of August to collectively agree on our mandate, goals, and initial actions.
If you are interested please fill out the form below and we will be in touch.
