Roncesvalles VillageRoncesvalles Village BIA

UPDATE:  On Sunday, April 23rd, join over 200,000 residents, students, businesses, organizations and communities as we Clean Toronto Together for the annual spring cleanup!

The Roncesvalles Village BIA invites the community to join us this Sunday, April 23rd for the Roncesvalles Avenue Clean Up.
RVBIA members are encouraged to clean in front of their businesses on the sidewalk and their back laneway.
The Roncesvalles Village BIA will have a limited number of bags and gloves on hand for those who wish to participate in the clean up.
You can bring your own supplies or you can pick up a bag and gloves at one of two locations:

  • The northwest corner of Marmaduke and Roncesvalles (by the TD bank)  between 11:am and 11:15am

  • The northeast corner of Westminster and Roncesvalles between 11:00am- 11:15am

Once you have finished collecting any trash or recycling, please drop off the secured garbage or recycling bag at the northeast corner of Westminster at Roncesvalles for a specially arranged one-time pick up by the City of Toronto.

Our thanks in advance to everyone who is participating in a clean up day in Roncesvalles Village and around the City this weekend!

April 14, 2023

Spring has sprung, Earth Day is approaching and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel for the completion of the major construction on the street, so it’s a great time to tidy up!

What: Clean Toronto Together/Spring Clean Up
When: Sunday on April 23, from 11am – 1pm
Who: RVBIA Members are encouraged to sweep/tidy/pickup in front of their businesses especially on this day. The RVBIA has also engaged some assistance from a small crew to assist in the street wide clean up as Roncesvalles has been very affected by the construction and resulting issues with garbage and recycling pick up.

We encourage and appreciate our residential neighbours to help us to keep Roncesvalles Village beautiful; help us tidy along Roncesvalles, in adjacent laneways, in front of their houses and in playgrounds.  More hands make for lighter work!

More details: the RVBIA has put in a request with the city for a special garbage pick up beside the City garbage bin located at the northeast corner of Roncesvalles at Westminster (approx. 275 Roncesvalles Ave pictured above).  If your clean up generates an extra bag for garbage pick up, please close and secure it and deposit it there prior to 5pm Sunday, April 23 for a one time City pick up.

Please note dumping is not permitted as per City of Toronto By-laws.
